Afternoon with an Artist

November 3 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

L_kaufmanns_too

Spend your afternoon with local artist Linda Barnicott!

For decades, Linda Barnicott has brought Pittsburgh’s past to life through her vibrant paintings of times gone by in the Steel City.  Drawing on her own beloved memories, Barnicott’s art depicts in vivid color scenes of the city’s amusement parks, sport venues, downtown views, and its many streetcars.

Join Linda on Sunday, November 3 for an Artist Talk where she’ll discuss her journey as an artist, her painting process, and her inspiration for her heartwarming portraits of Pittsburgh life.  Stick around afterwards for a Q&A session, print signing, and opportunities to purchase both holiday and regular keepsakes featuring her artwork.  This includes magnets, ornaments, bookmarks, totes, coasters, puzzles, mugs, pins, prints, and more!

Talks will begin at 1PM and 2PM, and the art and keepsakes will remain on display until the museum closes at 4PM.  This program is included with museum admission.  Visitors to the museum on this date may also enjoy trolley rides, our collection of antique streetcars in our Trolley Display Building, and our interactive exhibits in our Welcome & Education Center.

Learn more about Linda Barnicott and her work by visiting her website.  The painting shown above is titled “Meet Me Under Kaufmann’s Clock, Too!”
