The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum turned back the clock to the disco era on May 15, 2026, as nearly 200 guests joined us for our 3rd Annual Streetcar Soirée, Trolley at the Disco & Studio 76.
The evening began with a cocktail hour where guests enjoyed drinks sponsored by Wabtec, hors d’oeuvres, a glitter glam bar, the opportunity to mingle and get their photo taken in front of the groovy backdrop graciously set up by The Ivy Green.
Guests then gathered for dinner and a short program backdropped by a classic 70s disco movie mashup on the theater screen.

The party was just beginning!
Following dinner, actors from the Washington Community Theatre led guests to the Trolley Display Building, where they stepped into Studio 76, inspired by the legendary Studio 54. The space was transformed into a dazzling disco, complete with vibrant lighting and music from DJ Jess beneath a disco ball suspended from the crane of M283.
Guests enjoyed specialty cocktails and tastings from local distilleries and breweries while relaxing in a groovy 70s-inspired lounge created by our friends at Route 30 Retro. The dance floor stayed busy throughout the night as guests embraced the disco spirit and danced the night away.
One of the night’s most memorable experiences was a ride on our moving disco trolley, where DJ Vibes kept the party rolling with music and lights. Thanks to Tim Sheffield and Sarah Wells for keeping The Terrible Trolley movin’ and groovin’. It was a one-of-a-kind trolley experience that perfectly captured the fun and excitement of the evening.
Events like the Streetcar Soirée would not be possible without the incredible support of our sponsors, vendors, volunteers, staff, and community partners. We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who helped make the evening such a memorable success.
A special thank you to our sponsors:
Presenting Sponsor: Wabtec
Silver Sponsor: Dollar Bank
Bronze Sponsors: The Jeram Group and Washington Auto Mall
We are also grateful to our 11 generous table sponsors, whose support helped make the event possible.
As one disco-inspired chapter comes to a close, we’re already looking ahead to next year.
Mark your calendars for May 14, 2027, when the Streetcar Soirée goes Back to the Future. Guests will have the chance to choose their favorite decade – the 1950s or the 1980s – as the museum transforms for an evening inspired by the beloved film and its iconic “Enchantment Under the Sea” prom. And yes, the DeLorean will be making an appearance!
Until then, thank you for helping make Trolley at the Disco an outta-sight success. We can’t wait to celebrate with you again next year.
