Groups and Special Requests
Please note that throughout the year there are blackout dates for reservations, when you make your request a staff member will work with you to find a date for your visit. In addition, tours and events booked outside of normal operating hours may carry additional fees. Groups of 20 or more enjoy a special rate for admission. We suggest allowing 1.5 to 2 hours for your visit. Trolley enthusiasts and history fans, ask about our Deluxe Group Tour. In addition to the scenic ride, tour, video, and exhibits, the Deluxe Tour includes extended, behind the scenes tour of the Trolley Display Building, including the interiors of selected trolleys, and a tour of the Galbraith Restoration Shop. Birthday Parties
$250 for up to 30 guests
$10 for each additional guest
A vintage trolley arrives in style, bearing a special destination sign featuring your child’s name! You and your guests will go on a scenic trolley ride. Afterward, it’s party time! Celebrate in the Museum Events Room. During the party, you can play a DVD, watch a slideshow of family photos, or play party games on our flatscreen tv. The room also has a kitchenette (full sized refrigerator, microwave, and sink). Parties are booked for two hours and with a start time of either 10:30AM or 2:00PM. Facilities Rental
$100/hour for up to 30 guests, $10 for each additional guest
$8 per participant for a standard tour, $10 per participant for a deluxe tour
Plan your group’s next event at a unique destination: the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum. Your guests will experience living history as they take a ride into the past on a vintage streetcar or add on a tour and visit our Trolley Display Building to see our collection of almost 50 streetcars. Our private events room can accommodate 60 seated guests, 75 classroom seats, or 85 people for cocktails. The room also hosts a 60′′ flat-screen TV with Blu-ray DVD player, wireless mic and PA system, lectern, wi-fi (available on request) and a kitchenette with a full sized refrigerator, microwave, and sink. Operator for an Hour Experience
$150 (up to 5 guests included)
$10 for each additional guest
This unique experience includes a session with an operating instructor making a complete circuit of the museum’s open line, certificate of completion, one-year individual Museum membership and tickets for five additional passengers to ride with the honoree and follow-up with another regularly scheduled ride and tour of the museum. Participants must be 18-years-old or older and have a valid Driver’s License. Gift certificates are available if you would like to gift this experience to a loved one! Private Photography Session
$100 per hour, 2 hour minimum
Looking to create a unique photo for your next portrait session? Choose from any of our operational streetcars for stunning interior and exterior photo shots. Favorite trolley backdrops are the beautiful Streetcar Named Desire, the beautifully refurbished Rio de Janeiro Open Car, and the meticulously restored 1917 Pittsburgh Car 4398, among many others. Your streetcar photo session will be hosted by a uniformed streetcar operator from the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum.
