SUMMARY:Scout Workshop: BSA Electricity
DESCRIPTION:This merit badge workshop is open to any youth in 6th – 12th grade and is designed to help BSA Scouts meet requirements for the Electricity merit badge. We will be covering requirements 1\, 3\, 4\, 5\, 6\, 7\, 10\, and 11. \nScouts are responsible for the following pre-requisites: 2\, 8\, and 9. Requirement 2 requires an electrical home safety inspection of a Scout’s home to be completed. Requirement 8 requires a floor plan wiring diagram to be drawn of a room in the Scout’s house. Requirement 9 requires a Scout to read an electric meter\, discuss their family’s electric bill\, determine energy costs\, and come up with 5 ways their family can conserve energy. If participants do not complete these requirements ahead of time\, Scouts must follow up with the counselors before a completed signed blue card will be issued. \nPre-registration is required: https://pa-trolley.org/scouts-bsa/

In addition\, visitors can purchase Park ’N’ Ride tickets or regular admission tickets at the Museum’s main location of 1 Museum Road\, across from the Fairgrounds. Trolleys will depart every 10-15 minutes and tickets are good for multiple trips throughout the day of purchase. The trolley takes you to the newly rebuilt and enlarged Fairgrounds Trolley Platform which is conveniently situated at the front entrance to the Fair and features a covered canopy to shelter riders during inclement weather. \nThose interested in riding the trolley to the Fair will pay $5 per person round trip and children aged 2 and under are free.
