DESCRIPTION:Join PTM staff\, volunteers\, and members for our Zoom series\, Trolleyology! These virtual programs feature Pennsylvania transit history topics and tales of our collection that you can experience from home. Registration is required but free of charge. Donations are welcome and encouraged. \n  \nThe Subway – Philadelphia’s Broad Street Line Part 2\nThursday\, June 4\, 2026 – 7 PM ET – Presented by Bob Wright \nREGISTER HERE \nThe second part of this presentation on the Subway will start shortly after the SEPTA takeover of the operations with its purchase of the Philadelphia Transportation Company (PTC) and will follow the issues related to the aging fleet\, the addition of the former Bridge Line cars to enhance service\, the (finally!) extension to the Sports Complex\, the near-collapse of service related to car failures\, the introduction of the B-IV cars and retirement of the original fleet\, and related operational changes. \n  \nThis program will be recorded and available at a later date on the PTM YouTube channel. \n  \nTrolleyology presentations will continue on a regular or semi-regular basis.
