AT THE PENNSYLVANIA TROLLEY MUSEUM

The colors of the leaves are beginning to change, which means the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum’s annual Pumpkin Patch Trolley is about to be underway.

  • Enjoy the fall season while riding on decorated trolleys!
  • The trolleys will take families to the Trolley Display building where they can tour the large collection of trolleys.
  • Children can select a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch and then take it to the events room where they will be able to decorate it.
  • There will be children’s games and complimentary fall themed refreshments.
  • Add to the fall fun by dressing up in your favorite costume.

WHEN:
Friday- Sunday October 13-15, 20-22 and 27-29–10:00AM to 5:00PM
*The last trolley of the day will leave for the pumpkin patch at 4:00PM.*

PRICE:
$12 for adults
$10 for seniors (age 62+)
$8 for kids (ages1-15)
Children under 1 are free

*Each purchase of a child’s ticket includes a pumpkin; those who would like to purchase an additional pumpkin may do so for $2.50. This admission also includes tours of the museum and unlimited rides on the trolleys.*

During select dates of the Pumpkin Patch Trolley, the Washington County Fairgrounds will be hosting its Pennsylvania Arts & Crafts Christmas Festival. This festival will run Friday through Sunday, October 20-22 and Saturday through Sunday, October 28-29.  Pennsylvania Trolley Museum will be providing park and ride service for guests interested in parking in the museum’s parking lot and riding to the fairgrounds. This park and ride service will cost $3 person and children under 3 are free. This service does not represent or include the pumpkin patch activities going on during the Pumpkin Patch Trolley

Santa Trolley

Pennsylvania Trolley Museum’s stockings are hung by the trolleys with care and with the knowledge that Santa Claus will soon be there! The merriest man himself will be visiting the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum during their annual Santa Trolley.  Visit the Museum during November 24-26, December 2-3, 9-10 and 16-17 for this spectacular event that runs from 10AM-5PM with the last trolley departing at 4:00PM. Guests will have the opportunity to climb aboard a restored streetcar that will transport them around the museum’s 2 mile track.

~Santa will be happy to have visitors take his picture, so make sure you remember to bring your camera.

~Stop by the museum’s large Lionel toy train layout. This year’s layout will make you feel like a giant looking down on a beautiful Christmas village.

~In the museum’s Event Room, you will get to view the wonderful LEGO layout built by Steel City Lug, Pittsburgh Area’s Adult LEGO User Group.

~The holiday spirit will be all throughout the air and your bellies will be filled with complimentary hot chocolate and cookies.

~Make a holiday craft!

~Admission for the Santa Trolley is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (62+) and $12 for children ages 1-15; children under 1 are free.

*This admission will include your trip on the Santa Trolley and the open exhibits. It also includes as many trips on the Yuletide shuttle. This event is very popular and we STRONGLY SUGGEST advance ticket purchases be made on-line due to the limited seating. The tickets can be purchased on the museum’s website at www.patrolley.org. A link to ShowClix will be provided once tickets are on sale!

 

****During the month of December, the museum will also be hosting their Trolleys and Toy Trains event. It will be held on Friday December 1, 8 & 15 from 10am – 4pm with the last trolley departing at 3:00 PM. Visitors of this event will be able to ride on our decorated trolleys and to view the Lionel toy train layout. Admission for Trolleys and Toy Trains is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and $7 for children ages 3-15; children under 3 are free.**
